Submission Guidelines

I am only interested in notes that you wrote to and for yourself. I am not interested in letters or notes that you pass to a friend in class or anything of that nature. Those are nice too, but the idea here is to examine how we record our thoughts to ourselves, how we take that jumble of ideas and put it on paper not for an audience, but for ourselves.

Along similar lines, I am not looking for notes written with the intent of submitting it to this website. This kind of premeditation produces notes that are written with an audience in mind (the visitors of this website) and defeats the whole purpose. Instead, look through your old notebooks or in your purse or under your couch and find something you wrote for yourself only. Then post it here.

Also, if you are walking down the street and find a note that someone else wrote, but that (from what you can tell) fits the description above, please post it.

Technical Guidelines

The form below only accepts JPG images. If you have a GIF, PNG, BMP, or other image, please resave it as a JPG before submitting. Also, the server cannot handle any submissions over 1 meg. If this is the case, please crop, resize, or resave in a lower resolution before submitting.

Note also that scanned images are preferred over digital photos of notes, as photos can be kind of hard to read sometimes. But both will be accepted.

One last note: learn to CROP! If there is a whole blank page and your notes are only in one small corner, then crop it so that you're only sending in that one corner with your scribbles on it, NOT the entire page!

Privacy

Your name and e-mail are optional fields. If you wish to remain anonymous, please leave those fields blank. notetomyself.net does not record any information other than what is submitted.

By submitting information to notetomyself.net, you grant notetomyself.net a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and otherwise exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to that information at its sole discretion, including storing it on notetomyself.net servers and incorporating it in other works in any media now known or later developed including without limitation published books.

If you do not wish to grant notetomyself.net these rights, it is suggested that you do not submit information to this website. notetomyself.net reserves the right to select, edit and arrange submissions, and to remove information from the notetomyself.net website at any time at its sole discretion.
